Around 50 neo-Nazis took part in an area demonstration on Berlin's Christopher Street Day on Saturday. In Kreuzberg, a queer demonstrations are disbanded after attacks on police officers.
Under the motto "Never again silently celebrated hundreds of thousands in the capital yesterday. While the general meeting remained peaceful, riots occurred at a parallel Queer-Pride event in Kreuzberg.
In Berlin, hundreds of thousands of people celebrated Christopher Street Day and demonstrated for the rights of gays, lesbians, transsexuals as well as intersexuals and bisexuals. This year's motto was: "Never quiet again". This is intended to draw attention to the fact that queer life is endangered and attacked.
On Saturday, a CSD was celebrated for the first time in Mühlhausen. In Chemnitz, too, there was a demonstration for the rights of queer people. In the meantime, there were several hundred thousand participants in Berlin.
Under the motto "Never again silent", 80 trucks with 100 different groups travelled through Berlin to demonstrate for diversity, human rights and the protection of minorities.The CSD in Berlin is considered one of the largest events of the LGBTQ community in Europe.
