Dozens of people caused serious damage to the old Cambuur stadium in Leeuwarden on Saturday evening. Images obtained by Leeuwarder Courant show windows being smashed, dugouts and booths along the field being destroyed and fatbikes being ridden across the field. Loud bangs can also be heard, probably fireworks.
The old stadium of SC Cambuur in Leeuwarden was vandalised on Saturday evening. Windows were smashed, chairs were torn from the stands and a canopy along the pitch was demolished. The first report of the vandalism came around seven o'clock, shortly after Cambuur played its first match in the brand new Kooi Stadium, on the other side of the city.
