Belgian Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step) won the time trial on the fourth stage of the Dauphiné cycling criterium. Evenepoel beat Dane Jonas Vingegaard in second place by 21 seconds over the 17.4 km course, while fourth-placed Tadej Pogačar was 49 seconds behind. Evenepoel took the overall lead.
The Belgian crashed the 4th stage on Wednesday, ahead of Jonas Vingegaard (2nd) and Matteo Jorgenson (3rd). Tadej Pogacar finished 49 seconds behind the new leader in the general standings.
Evenepoel was superior in the time trial in the Criterium du Dauphin, where Vingegaard took time on Pogacar.
