Cristiano Ronaldo fires penalty wide and misses an open goal, but still wins with Al-Nassr
- On Tuesday, Al-Nassr defeated NEOM 1-0 in the Saudi Pro League as Joao Felix scored the decisive goal in a closely contested match.
- The breakthrough came in the 61st minute when Felix struck a right-footed shot from outside the box, settling a closely contested match after Al-Nassr pressured the visitors throughout the opening half.
- Seeking his 982nd career goal, Cristiano Ronaldo failed to convert a first-half penalty after a VAR review and headed over from close range, struggling to find the target throughout the evening.
- The victory leaves Al-Nassr 3rd in the Saudi Pro League with 19 points from eight matches, trailing leaders Al-Hilal Saudi and Al-Qadisiyah FC in the standings.
- News emerged Monday that the Portuguese football federation fined Ronaldo €255 and imposed a 30-day suspension for leaving a training camp in late September, adding context to his difficult performance.
