Crews contain grass fire near structure in Geary County
The Geary County Rural Fire Department responded Sunday morning to a grass fire that was initially reported as possibly threatening a nearby structure with animals inside. The call came in around 8:18 a.m. Upon arrival, firefighters were able to contain the blaze to two wood piles and prevent it from spreading to any buildings.
