Cranford launches 3rd annual tree planting to beautify town, reduce stormwater runoff
The Cranford Environmental Commission and the Green Thumb Garden Club are launching the 3rd annual Cranford Canopy Project, according to a statement issued Wednesday.The initiative is aimed at planting at least 100 trees annually to enhance the town’s beauty, reduce stormwater runoff, and ensure the long-term health of Cranford’s tree population.
Tree Planting Project Set for McGuffey Park on May 13
The ground at the back of the park in McGuffey has officially been worked and is prepped for tree planting. Professional tree planting contractors and volunteers from Upper Scioto Valley School are set to start on the morning of May 13th. In case of rain that day, it will take place May 15.
