Woman Pleads Guilty to Attacking Girlfriend in OC

A 27-year-old woman pleaded guilty Thursday to attacking her girlfriend in Fullerton and was immediately sentenced to a year in jail. Veronica Dawn Lawson pleaded guilty to domestic battery causing injury with a prior conviction and false imprisonment, both felonies, as well as a misdemeanor count of criminal threats. A Castle Rock woman — wanted on an assault charge and detained after trying to escape — has pleaded guilty in Cowlitz County Superior Court to felonies and sentenced to roughly two years in prison.
