The Amsterdam Court of Appeal has quashed a massive fine imposed by the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration on tobacco manufacturer British American Tobacco (BAT). A lower court ruled that the company behind brands such as Lucky Strike and Dunhill had to pay €106 million for alleged tax fraud. The court announced in a press release that the fine was overturned on appeal.
