Corps of Engineers issues E.coli warning on Coralville Lake beach

Hunter 07/24/25 The US Army Corps of Engineers announced Wednesday that the Sugar Bottom Campground beach at Coralville Lake has tested above the state standard for E.coli levels.  The Corps do not recommend swimming in the area. They also advise that pets can be affected by the higher levels and encourage people to keep their pets away from the water. An update will be posted when it is safe to swim at the beach again.
