Corning Optical to invest up to $268M, add 132 jobs in Hickory expansion

Corning Optical Communications will expand its manufacturing operations in Catawba County, investing between $170 million and $268 million and hiring at least 132 workers with average salaries above $65,000. The company will receive nearly $6 million in local incentives and a 33-acre site in Trivium Corporate Center as part of the agreement.
