The leaders of Scout Troop 270 gave the program for the Cordele Kiwanis Club on Jan 29, which is the charter organization for the troop.Scouting has been in Cordele since at least 1913. Britt Brinson, troop committee chair, traced its history in the county. Several scouting troops were formed in the early 1900s.
