Toulouse archbishop faces outrage for appointing abuser to diocesan post
The Archbishop of Toulouse appointed a priest who served a prison sentence for raping a minor as diocesan chancellor and episcopal delegate for marriage. Sentenced to five years in prison (one of which was suspended) for rape of a minor by a person in authority in 2005 and then on appeal in 2006, priest Dominique Spina has never been removed from the Church. He has even just been promoted to chancellor of the diocese of Toulouse.
