- Officials also recorded complaints showing the West Bengal Migrants Welfare Board received 1,143 harassment complaints in 10 months, two migrants were arrested in Mumbai, and Jewel Rana was killed in Sambalpur on Wednesday.
- Chowdhury warned these attacks could lead to communal tension and violence in West Bengal, including its majority-Muslim border areas with Bangladesh.
