Congo-B: First World Congress of Indigenous Peoples in Major Forest Basins

The first congress of indigenous peoples and local populations from the three major forest basins of the world (Amazon, Borneo-Mékong and Congo Basin) opened on 27 May in the Congolese capital. The event, which will conclude on 30 May, aims to reach a joint declaration upstream of COP30 planned in Belém, Brazil, in November 2025.
