- Under the revised structure, passengers canceling more than 72 hours before departure receive maximum refunds with only a flat charge; between 72 and 24 hours a 25 per cent deduction applies, between 24 and 8 hours 50 per cent is deducted, and less than 8 hours before departure yields no refund.
- Commuters can now update their coach category up to 30 minutes before departure, moving between classes like Third AC to First AC if seats are available, while the mobile application allows passengers to update boarding points easily.
- Passengers can board from stations located after their original departure point, and offline cancellation is now allowed from any railway station, offering more convenience to genuine travelers while maintaining stricter rules against booking abuse.
