A 23-year-old motorist from Schiedam, who killed a 78-year-old cyclist in Vlaardingen two years ago, has been sentenced to 240 hours of community service, a one-month suspended prison sentence and a five-month driving ban. According to the court in Rotterdam, the man drove carelessly, ignored traffic signs and was on his phone shortly before the accident.
