(WTAJ) -- A late-night fire at a vacant commercial building has led to an emergency demolition, leaving a Johnstown road closed Crews were called to the 700 block of Railroad Street for a structure fire around 12:15 a.m. Sunday, May 11. Fire Destroys Vacant Building In Johnstown, Structure Demolished
A vacant commercial building in Johnstown’s Old Conemaugh Borough was destroyed by fire early yesterday morning. Reportedly, the fire occurred shortly after midnight on Railroad Street. Fire crews were able to keep the fire contained, however due to damage, the building is being demolished. No injuries were reported. A state police fire marshal has been called in to investigate.
The police are investigating the cause of the fire.
