The people of Sudan and South Sudan, Gaza, Haiti and Mali will face a deadly risk of famine in the coming months without urgent humanitarian intervention or coordinated action in the face of conflict, warned the UN yesterday, which also announced a drastic reduction in its aid programs after “the worst financial cuts” resulting in much of the US decision to minimize its donations.
