A man named as the main financial operator of the powerful Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG) was arrested on Thursday at Mexico City International Airport, security authorities reported. The individual, identified by Mexican media as Óscar Antonio Álvarez, was arrested in an operation involving officers of the army, the Navy, the National Guard, the police and the Attorney General's Office, according to a joint statement.
