Coastal flood statement in place for Bristol and Plymouth counties for Monday

The National Weather Service released a coastal flood statement at 11:48 p.m. on Sunday valid for Monday between 4 a.m. and 11 a.m. for Bristol and Plymouth counties.“Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways (4.5 to 7.0 feet Mean Lower Low Water),” says the weather service. “Minor overwash could freeze on vulnerable shoreline roads with those roads becoming slippery.”
