Several civil society organizations in Africa have for the first time asked the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights, based in Arusha, Tanzania, for an expert opinion on the climate crisis, in particular to clarify the responsibility of the States of the continent for the people affected by climate disasters.
The Constitutional Court found several objections to the climate law - The Parliament must remedy the deficiencies by June 30, 2026.
