State capital media reported that they had been killed and injured. It happened that the wounded were taken to Presidio, Texas, although the local authorities have not yet spoken out about it.
The tranquility of Ojinaga, a border municipality in the state of Chihuahua, was abruptly interrupted early Wednesday morning after intense armed clashes erupted in various parts of the city. According to citizen reports, the first gunshots were heard around 3:00 a.m., prompting multiple calls to 911. Audio recordings by residents began circulating on social media, clearly audible bursts of gunfire, keeping the population on edge.
Inhabitants of Ojinaga reported that during the morning of this Wednesday armed clashes were recorded in various points of the municipality. It was around 3:00 am when reports were made to the 911 emergency line and through social networks audios of the shots were circulated that were heard. Also, several people died and others more injured.
