Frýdlant (Liberecko) - Another case of African swine fever has been reported in the Czech Republic after ten months, again from the Liberec region. The infected wild boar was a wild boar that died some time ago in the Frýdlantský výběžek. Petr Vorlíček, spokesman for the State Veterinary Administration (SVS), reported this in a press release today.
"African swine fever is getting closer. With these words, the Veterinary Office of the Rheinisch-Bergische Kreis also asks for more attention. Although there are no cases known in the circle at the moment, the outbreak of the virus in Olpe shows how quickly it can also endanger wild and domestic pigs in the Bergisches.
