Cincinnati forward Miller selected by Clippers in second round of 2026 NBA Draft
Miller averaged 13 points, 10.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists at Cincinnati, giving Los Angeles a versatile frontcourt player with length and playmaking.
On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Clippers selected University of Cincinnati forward Baba Miller with the 36th overall pick in the second round of the 2026 NBA Draft at Barclays Center.
Miller played his final college season at Cincinnati, becoming the first Bearcat since Oscar Robertson in 1959-60 to lead the team in points, rebounds, and assists after stints at Florida State and Florida Atlantic.
Clippers general manager Trent Redden said Miller "checked a lot of boxes," praising his "length, basketball IQ, athleticism." Miller emphasized his versatility, stating he can defend multiple positions and bring defensive intensity.
Rounding out the draft, the Clippers acquired rights to Northwestern forward Nick Martinelli with the 55th pick and selected Auburn commit Narcisse Ngoy, completing three second-round selections.
Miller aims to help the franchise reach postseason glory after 15 consecutive winning seasons, saying "I feel like just coming in and trying to help the team be better is the main goal.
