Child benefit has fallen to its lowest level in 50 years, according to a calculation from Swedbank. When the benefit was increased seven years ago, it was enough to cover 36 percent of a ten-year-old's living expenses; today it is only enough to cover 25 percent.

If you are a full-time child in education, you cannot claim the payment of the child allowance if you have sufficient income of your own.
