Centre approves 11.56 km metro extension from Noida Sector 142 to Botanical Garden

- On Friday, the Union Cabinet approved an 11.56 km Noida Metro extension from Noida Sector 142 to Botanical Garden, the government said.
- Connecting the Aqua Line with Delhi Metro's lines, the project aims to strengthen integration between Noida and Delhi public transport, enhancing NCR connectivity.
- Spanning approximately 11.56 km, the corridor will include eight elevated stations and is estimated at Rs 2,254 crore, with Noida Metro Rail Corporation building it over four years.
- Noida and Greater Noida will have about 61.62 Km of active Metro Rail Network, improving access to Advant Navis Business Park, Microsoft, Tata Consultancy Services and Amity University.
- The wider plan also references funding allocations and connections to Boraki Multi-Modal Transportation Hub, with approvals part of a package adding three new corridors totaling 16 kilometres and 13 stations, costing Rs 12,014.91 crore.
