Carroll Co. Pays Nearly $1M for Defense of Richard Allen
Carroll County, Indiana taxpayers shelled out nearly $1 million for the defense of Richard Allen, convicted in the 2017 killings of Abby Williams and Libby German in Delphi. $986,000 covered his lawyers, travel, specialists, and more from January 2023 to March 2025. Around $51,000 in defense requests were denied because documentation was missing. The cost to prosecute the case has not been disclosed.
