A chain accident, involving four cars, occurred at the exit from Bucharest on DN1, in the direction of Otopeni. The exit from the capital was completely blocked, and traffic was hampered by the large number of vehicles heading to mountain destinations for New Year's Eve. Authorities recommend that drivers avoid overtaking maneuvers and choose alternative routes, given the heavy traffic on DN 1, Prahova Valley.
"A busy weekend for mountain rescuers from the Prahova Valley, with 49 interventions, most of them on ski areas.
