The 'Carol' and 'Velvet Goldmine' filmmaker will be awarded the Carrosse d’Or lifetime achievement award by the French film directors' guild.

Paris. The filmmaker Todd Haynes, a figure of the US counterculture and queer cinema, will receive on May 14 the Golden Carroza Award at the Quincena de Cineastas, a parallel section of the Cannes Festival, according to the organizers on Tuesday.
