Man paralyzed from run-in with Yuba City police gets $20 million settlement
Gregory Gross, an Army veteran from Yuba City, California, has won a $20 million settlement after being left paralyzed from a traffic stop in April 2020.
Gross filed a lawsuit against the police department, claiming that officers used excessive force and ignored his cries for help.
The settlement is one of the largest police misconduct settlements in California history, and the city of Yuba City will also implement police reforms as part of the agreement.
