Caitlin Clark returns with minutes restriction for Sunday's game in Vegas
Caitlin Clark is expected to play 20-25 minutes as the Fever manage her back issue and build her workload.
Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark will return to the lineup against the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday with a 20-to-25-minute playing restriction, Coach Stephanie White announced Saturday.
Following three missed games due to back issues, including the Fever's recent victory over the Phoenix Mercury, Clark remains on a recovery plan for the final road game.
The team will no longer utilize three-minute bursts, abandoning the strategy used during Clark's 16-minute performance against the Los Angeles Sparks, which prevented her from establishing rhythm.
White described the plan as a "collaborative" decision between the team and Clark, with training staff prioritizing her endurance and long-term wellness while managing fatigue-related injury risk.
The 9 p.m. Eastern tip-off marks the first meeting this season between Clark and Aces star A'ja Wilson, who missed the teams' previous encounter on July 5.
