The BHAVYA scheme will develop 100 industrial parks across 34,000 acres with Rs 33,660 crore funding to boost manufacturing and ease of doing business, officials said.

  • On March 18, 2026 the Union Cabinet approved the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana with Rs 33,660 crore to develop 100 plug-and-play industrial parks in partnership with state governments, central PSUs and private developers.
  • Designed to boost domestic industries and self-reliance, the scheme sets new benchmarks by enhancing reliability and integrates with the PM GatiShakti programme for multimodal connectivity and last-mile access.
  • The parks will feature ready-built factory sheds, built-to-suit units, testing labs, warehousing and social infrastructure including houses for workers, while selection will use challenge mode prioritising green energy and ease-of-doing-business reforms.
  • DPIIT Secretary Amardeep Singh Bhatia said the scheme runs six years starting 2026-27, with the first phase of 50 parks and funding up to Rs 1 crore per acre, plus 25 per cent support for external infrastructure.
  • The initiative will develop industrial facilities across approximately 34,000 acres nationwide, with minimum park sizes set at 1000 acres, lowered to 25 in hilly and North Eastern states, and a maximum of 1,000 acres.
