- The original trilogy pulled in roughly $1.8 billion worldwide, according to Variety, and the studio confirmed this production is a direct continuation of Rick and Evelyn’s story rather than a reboot.
- Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will direct from a script by David Coggeshall, while other original stars are also slated to join Fraser and Weisz for the project.
- Shifting the release forward by a full seven months to October 15, 2027, Universal placed the film squarely into the Halloween season, a first for the historically summer-focused franchise.
