- Justice Lawal Garba held that once proceedings are "fully, faithfully, conclusively and finally concluded," there is nothing left to preserve, directing the Federal High Court in Abuja to continue its stalled substantive proceedings.
- Although the Supreme Court ruled on the appeal, the legal battle remains active as the Court ordered the Federal High Court to see the case to its end, preventing final resolution of the party's leadership structure.
