- Following Buhari’s death, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu declared seven days of national mourning, with flags at half-mast from Sunday, July 13.
- The Federal Government declared Tuesday, July 15, a public holiday, and Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo issued the announcement through Permanent Secretary Magdalene Ajani.
