- Today, Bombardier unveiled a new 126,000-square-foot manufacturing centre in Dorval, which will cost about $100 million and is expected to open before the end of 2027.
- With demand surging, Bombardier faced a backlog of US$16.6-billion and JetNet iQ forecast for 2025 about 820 jets, prompting CEO Éric Martel to consider higher production rates.
- Investissement Québec is providing support via a $35 million repayable loan under ESSOR, and Christine Fréchette said, `This investment will also lead to the creation of hundreds of highly skilled, well-paid jobs, while strengthening Quebec’s expertise,`.
- In Quebec, Bombardier directly creates nearly 10,000 jobs and accounts for over 31% of aerospace employment, while a PwC study found it contributed $7.4 billion to Canada’s GDP and sustained nearly 50,000 jobs in 2024.
- Located beside existing plants, the new centre will expand Bombardier’s industrial footprint near the Challenger manufacturing centre and Laurent Beaudoin Completion Centre, supporting products including defence platforms and complementing recent investments like the Moorpark component facility and US$400-million Toronto factory.

Bombardier says it plans to invest $100 million to build a new manufacturing centre to strengthen its production capacity for business aircraft and create several hundred “highly skilled and well-paid” jobs in Montreal.
Québec will finance a third of the project through a repayable loan from Investissement Québec. 330 jobs should be created.
In planning to accelerate Montreal production, Bombardier will add a new facility to its Dorval facility with the help of a 35 million Legault government loan. Over 330 people will eventually be hired.
