Health insurance contributions could continue to rise in the future. Statutory health insurance companies warn of the consequences – and have clear demands on Merz.

The Sejm's public finance and health committees recommended on Thursday the rejection of amendments and the motion to reject the government's draft amendment to reduce health insurance contributions for entrepreneurs. This is to cost the budget PLN 4.6 billion, and the regulations will apply from the beginning of 2026. The Sejm may soon vote on the entire bill. Mariusz Błaszczak from Law and Justice spoke on the matter.
