- Under the revised rates, Anganwadi payments now are Rs 9,000 for Anganwadi Sevikas and Rs 4,500 for Anganwadi Sahayikas, benefiting more than 1.20 lakh anganwadi workers and helpers with Social Welfare Department guidelines and funds.
- Nitish Kumar said the increase will boost morale and service delivery, and party officials hailed it as an inclusive development approach benefiting frontline health workers.
- The move forms part of a wider pre-election welfare drive that includes 125 units of free electricity and pink buses, with the stipend hike effective from October 1, 2025.
