- His death leaves the BSP without representation in the 403-member Legislative Assembly until a by-election is held. Legislative Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana expressed sorrow, calling the loss irreparable to Uttar Pradesh politics.
- A by-election will determine the future of the Rasra seat following the vacancy. Singh's career began as a student leader at Satish Chandra College and was defined by electoral victories over the Bharatiya Janata Party and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party.
