A huge white shark has returned to the waters of Florida after a one-year trip to Canada and back. Contender, a 13-foot, 9-inch, 1.653-pound male, has been tracked since January 2025, according to OCEARCH. The group first labeled Contender about 45 miles off the coast between Florida and Georgia on January 17, 2025, and since then the shark has travelled a long distance.
