Berthoud’s Amelia Major finishes 10th at 3A state diving championships

THORNTON — Long before the swimmers arrived for the Class 3A swim and dive state championships Tuesday at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center, Berthoud sophomore Amelia Major had already made program history for the Spartans. With a 10th-place finish in diving, held Tuesday morning, Major became the first-ever Berthoud diver to medal at the state meet. Major finished the 11-dive competition with a total score of 370.35.
