The Danserie Ensemble group has set the poems of the first book in Basque, Linguae Vasconum Primitiae, published in 1545, to music. It was a milestone in its time, when its author, Bernart Etxepare, set out to elevate the Basque language to the rank and category it deserves. Now we are offered the opportunity to experience the poetry of the Navarrese writer through 16th-century music in this CD-book edited by Pamiela.
