- Tilakesh Kumar, a legal-cum-probation officer with the district child protection unit, filed a formal complaint after receiving WhatsApp videos showing crying toddlers subjected to physical punishments, triggering an investigation under the Juvenile Justice Act.
- Footage reveals children forced into narrow pipes, locked in bathrooms, or placed inside a front-loading washing machine; other clips show toddlers sprayed with water while sitting in a toilet bowl.
- Deputy Commissioner of Police Saidulu Adavath confirmed authorities are questioning the five accused women—Manjula, Vijayalakshmi, Bhavani, Sindhu, and Bindu—marking the first phase of the legal process.
