Following Pakistan, Bangladesh is also seeking to pressure India on the water issue. Bangladesh has stated that it will demand that India add a "guarantee clause" to the Ganges Water Treaty, ensuring Bangladesh continues to receive water even during summer and drought. Taking a firm stance, Bangladesh has stated that it is willing to approach the issue at international forums.
