- Oyo State Police Command spokesperson DSP Olayinka Ayanlade confirmed the kidnapping and stated efforts are underway to rescue the headmaster, occurring 24 hours after 46 pupils and teachers were rescued in Oriire Local Government Area.
- Residents and colleagues have appealed to the Nigeria Police Force, the State Security Service , and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps to intensify rescue efforts, amid renewed concerns for teacher safety in rural communities.
