Bamin suspends construction of the West-East Railway in Bahia

Construction of the first section of the West-East Integration Railway (Fiol), between Caetité and Ilhéus, in Bahia, has been suspended. Bamin, the company responsible for the project, reported this Tuesday (April 1, 2025) that the contract with the federal government was “demobilized” on Monday (March 31).
