Bali Mulls Airbnb Ban to Put a Lid on Revenue Leak, Overtourism

Bali aims to stop tax revenue loss from over 2,000 unregistered rentals and reduce environmental harm caused by overtourism, officials said.

Airbnbs have emerged as a cheaper alternative to the sprawling resorts that dot the island, eroding tax revenue from hotels.
