Darden will close half of Bahama Breeze’s 28 U.S. locations by April 5 and convert the rest to other brands within 18 months, following a strategic review.
- On Feb. 3, 2026, Darden Restaurants announced it will permanently close 14 Bahama Breeze restaurants and convert the other 14 locations to different Darden brands.
- After completing a strategic review, Darden Restaurants, Inc. found Bahama Breeze was no longer a priority after abruptly closing about one-third of its locations last year.
- Ten of the 14 conversion locations are in the Orlando area, with the addresses listed in the company release, but Darden said it is not disclosing which brands will replace them.
- The 14 closing locations will operate through April 5, 2026, and Darden said it will prioritize supporting affected team members while expecting no material financial impact; its stock has risen 8% this year.
