The Commercial Trust and Savings Bank was built at 222 N. Main St. as a two-story wood structure and opened on Jan. 6, 1897. Harold Kibbee Sr., an early pioneer banker served as cashier and president of the Commercial Trust and Savings Bank for 51 years.
