- At New York Comic Con on Sunday, Nickelodeon announced the Avatar franchise will get a new fighting game and a chibi-style animated YouTube series.
- Celebrating the franchise's 20th anniversary, the Avatar: The Last Airbender 20th-anniversary panel at New York Comic Con reunited original cast members and unveiled expansions with more details coming.
- The working-title fighter, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, will launch on PC and consoles in summer 2026 with 12 playable characters including Aang, Korra, Zuko, and Toph.
- Emphasising visuals, developers said the game uses hand-drawn 2D animation and includes a single-player campaign plus net code and crossplay for players and fighting-game fans.
- Also on the slate, the franchise includes Avatar: Seven Havens in development and The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender set for October 9, 2026, with more details coming.
